Our partner, Olivia Kung, as Chair of the Women Business Lawyers committee of the Inter Pacific Bar Association (“IPBA”) recently gave a talk together with 8 other founding partners of law firms across the globe including: Professor Dr Colin Ong, QC (Dr Colin Ong Legal Services (Brunei); Eldan Law LLP (Singapore) & 36 Stone (London); Maxine Chiang (Chiang & Partners Attorneys-at-Law – Taiwan); Richard Goldstein (Goldstein & Lee P.C. – New York & London); Areej Hamadah (Legal Challenges Group – Kuwait); Roland Falder (Emplawyers PartmbB – Germany); Lyn Lim (Forest Harrison- New Zealand); Tatsu Nakayama (Nakayama & Partners – Japan); and Joyce Tan (Joyce A. Tan & Partners LLC- Singapore) in the IPBA Annual Conference 2019 in Singapore on Legal Entrepreneurship.  The session discussed things to consider before starting a law firm and pitfalls to avoid.
