Katherine is a consultant of Wellington Legal.
She was admitted in Hong Kong as a solicitor in 2009 and her practice focuses on general corporate; inbound and outbound investments; and commercial transactions.
Katherine has regularly advised local and international clients from different industries on corporate commercial transactions, including structuring and documenting various cross-border acquisitions; investment and divestment activities; and corporate commercial matters. She is also experienced in corporate governance and compliance matters.
Katherine is a legal counsel for various charities including Richmond Fellowship; AquaMeridian Conservation & Education Foundation; and Hong Kong Battery Recycling Centre Limited.
Prior to joining Wellington Legal, Katherine was trained and worked in international law firms. She opened her own practice, Katherine Chan Law Office, specialising in corporate law in 2020. Subsequently, Katherine joined Wellington Legal as a consultant, resulting in association between the two firms. She received a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours); Master of Philosophy; and PCLL from the University of Hong Kong and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manchester Metropolitan.
Apart from her legal career, Katherine is an independent non-executive director of a listed company on Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Katherine is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.
